I prefer it to be awesome

When E. graduated, we had friends and family over for dinner at my mom’s house. There, E. surprised us with gifts to thank us for our support throughout her studies. My mom got a beautiful pitcher (made in Thailand), my sister got a book, and I got this t-shirt.

In case you can’t read it, it says, “Everything will be okay but I prefer it to be awesome.” Isn’t it great? She bought it in a men’s large, and it’s already become my new favorite tee to sleep in. It’s also definitely coming to Salt Lake City with me.

Oh, we also had a good chuckle over the fact that for once, I was getting clothes while my sister A. (definitely the most stylish and fashion conscious of all three sisters) was getting a book. Who would’ve thought.

It’s certainly become mine! That, and the sentence I currently have on my computer screen, that reads “I will hold myself to a standard of grace, not perfection.”
